Introducing Mitome
Determine your "mitochondrial type" with my first-in-kind direct-to-consumer respiratory chain test that generates a personalized protocol.
Our purpose is simple: translate complex mitochondrial science into clear, actionable insights that transform human health and longevity.
Methylene Blue on the Airplane
Methylene blue rewires the respiratory chain, which can help you if your respiratory chain is situationally limited by hypoxia, toxicity, genetics, or nutrition, but otherwise hurts you because there is no wiring of the respiratory chain better than the one nature endowed you with.
My Sulfur Protocol
Sulfur is key to psychiatric, neurologic, and gastrointestinal issues, and central to mitochondrial function and longevity. Optimize it now.
Chris Masterjohn is the host of the Mastering Nutrition Podcast and
founder of Mitome, where through advanced analysis of your
electron transport chain activity, we uncover your unique cellular
blueprint to optimize your mitochondria. His expertise is in how
nutrition, lifestyle, and supplementation impact mitochondrial health,
and on how to use lab testing to assess mitochondrial function
and document the progress in mitochondrial optimization.
He received his PhD in Nutritional Sciences from University of Connecticut
at Storrs in 2012, served as a postdoctoral research associate in the
Comparative Biosciences department of the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign's College of Veterinary Medicine from 2012-2014,
served as Assistant Professor of Health and Nutrition Sciences at Brooklyn
College from 2014-2017, and now works independently in science research
and education.
